Gospel at Home

How to practice Gospel at Home: a simple step-by-step guide.

There is no need to make it complicated. Set aside a few minutes to read, talk, reflect and pray. What matters most is creating a sincere moment of peace and learning.

How to do it

You can start today.

A practical suggestion is to set aside 15 to 30 minutes. If the meeting needs to be shorter, that is fine: simplicity and consistency matter more than duration.

01

Choose a day and time

If possible, choose a weekly time that is easy to repeat. Regularity helps turn the meeting into a habit, but it should not become a heavy obligation.

02

Prepare a calm environment

Turn off distractions for a few minutes and invite anyone who wants to join. You can do it alone, with family, friends or by video call.

03

Begin with a simple prayer

Pray spontaneously in your own words. The idea is to calm your thoughts, give thanks and ask for help to understand and practice what is good.

04

Choose the reading

You can follow the book in order, choose a chapter or use the random passage on this page. Read without rushing and reread the passage if needed.

05

Talk about what you understood

Each person can briefly and respectfully share what the passage meant to them and how the idea can be applied in everyday life.

06

Share good intentions

For a few moments, direct thoughts of peace, health, balance and hope toward your home, family, friends and anyone going through difficulties.

07

Close with a prayer

Give thanks for the moment and ask for serenity and strength to put what you understood into practice. Memorized words are not necessary.

Meeting reading

Use The Gospel According to Spiritism for reflection.

You can choose a chapter or let Evangelho Fácil select a passage. When you click “Read in context”, the chapter opens exactly at that passage.

Keep it simple

It does not need to become a complicated ritual.

No pressure

If someone does not want to speak, they can simply listen. The meeting should feel welcoming.

No arguing

Different opinions may exist. The goal is to learn and reflect, not to win a debate.

No perfectionism

You do not need to know a lot about Spiritism to begin. Read, ask questions and learn gradually.

In person or online

If people are far away, follow the same outline by video or audio call.
